Vandals caused over $15,000 in damage to picnic facilities on Lake Como in the Bitterroot National Forest over the weekend. Todd McKay, public information officer says the vandals were able to overturn the heavy tables with concrete bases that each weighed over 600 pounds.

McKay says the Bitterroot National Forest has to spend upwards of $25,000 a year to repair damage caused by vandals. Listen to McKay’s comments, and if you have any information on the vandalism or who may be responsible, call 1-800-TIP-MONT.
