UM Streaker Identified and Appears In Court

19 year-old Daniel Thew of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a freshman at the University of Montana was arrested Saturday after streaking at the Grizzly-Cal Poly football game. Thew appeared in Missoula Municipal Court on a charge of disorderly conduct and minor in possession of alcohol, but did not enter a plea. I spoke with Director of Public safety at the University of Montana Gary Taylor about the incident and the response by Campus Security. That interview is attached.

Taylor says Thew’s punishment will depend on the decision of the UM Dean of Students, and could include suspension or even expulsion.
