A 1989 Chevy Pickup was found partially submerged Clark Fork River near Kelly Island this morning, Tuesday, November 4, and the Montana Highway Patrol is still searching for two suspects.

"I was called out at about 3:25 a.m. to the report of a vehicle that had been driven into the river," said MHP Trooper Luke Burson. "It came in as a vehicle crash and, given the amount of water damage, I did do a crash report on it. Three individuals in a pickup drove straight into the river off of a boat launch ramp for no apparent reason."

Burson said that two men and one female were involved in the crash, and that he was able to interview the female.

"I'm pretty confident that alcohol was involved. I'm still looking for two of them. I have an individual that I did talk to who was a passenger, but still looking for the driver and another passenger. The individual that I talked to had minor injuries: a chipped tooth and her wrist was hurting."

All three of the suspects are thought to be in their early 30s.
