Another trail-clearing project Saturday will improve Larry Creek Trails at the Bass Creek Recreation Area on the Bitterroot National Forest.

The Bitter Root Back Country Horsemen will be doing general maintenance, which includes clearing any downed trees and limbs from the trails 129, 390, 391 and 394, clearing water bars and ditches and other work to make the trails better.

Tod McKay of the Bitterroot National Forest said that the work will be done June 3rd during the daylight hours and that the public should be expecting to see work crews and stock on the the trails. McKay said the Bitterroot organization contributes over 600 personal hours each year on projects on the area's national forests.

The group's next project will be on Boulder Creek Camp trail up the West Fork. For information on the Bitterroot Back Country Horsemen and their projects, check their website.
