Traffic Accident Yields a Robbery Arrest on Evaro Hill

Call it fate..call it coincidence, but call it a successful arrest. Two separate incidents combined this morning at the top of Evaro Hill in front of the Gray Wolf Peak Casino, where two cars collided head-on. Montana Highway Patrol trooper Andrew Novak has the details. At about the same time, a strong-arm robbery was taking place just outside Missoula at Muralt’s Travel Plaza, according to Missoula County Sheriff’s Detective Rich Maricelli. The robbery suspects headed north on Highway 93 and met Sheriff’s deputies at the accident scene…the result? My interviews with Novak and Maricelli are attached.

The two suspects are now in the Missoula County jail, while the two accident victims are in St. Patrick Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
