Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On January 9, 2025, a Missoula Police Department Officer was patrolling the area of South Higgins Avenue and Beverly Avenue. The officer observed a Buick outside a residence known for drug distribution. The officer determined the Buick was registered to a probationer who had convictions for drug possession. The officer observed the Buick drive away from the residence and eventually go to a gas station/casino on Brooks Street.

The officer parked his vehicle nearby and waited to see if anyone approached the Buick. After some time passed, the officer did not see anyone approach the Buick and noticed that it was unoccupied. The officer exited his patrol vehicle, went up to the Buick, and observed a tooter straw in plain view.

The officer entered the casino to locate the probationer. The officer observed a female who appeared to be the probationer and asked her for her name, to which she responded, “Mariah.” The officer told her thanks and Mariah began walking out of the casino.

The officer then noticed a male who was recently charged with drug possession. The officer had previously seen the male at the residence where he first located the Buick. Mariah was originally sitting next to this male.

The officer exited the casino and asked Mariah some follow-up questions including what her last name was and she responded, “Wolfe.” The officer asked Wolfe if she came to the casino in the Buick, to which she responded, “Yes” and that it belonged to her friend. She said she came to the casino with the male and also admitted that she was on probation.

Once additional officers arrived on scene, the officer mirandized and spoke further with Wolfe. According to court documents, Wolfe admitted she had a Fentanyl pill in her bra. The officer contacted the on-call Probation and Parole Officer to explain the situation. The PO requested the officer conduct a search of Wolfe and the area of the vehicle where she would have immediate access.

Another officer arrived to conduct the search and located a piece of foil with burnt residue lines, a lighter, an orange tooter straw, and a blue suspected Fentanyl pill in Wolfe’s bra. Inside the vehicle, additional paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, and two additional suspected Fentanyl pills were found.

Wolfe was placed under arrest and was transported to the jail. She is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
