It was a virtual awards show for the ages - presented by the Montana Broadcasters Association.  This past Saturday evening June 13th, the EB Craney Awards Ceremony was held via YouTube in an abbreviated 40-minute show.   Due to COVID-19, the traditional Montana Broadcasters Awards, which are normally held at a Montana resort in Big Sky or Whitefish, was presented online.   Local television and radio broadcasters from across the state enter their stories, productions and promotions across 28 different categories including Promotion of the Year, Newscast of the Year, Feature News story.

Townsquare Media Missoula continued its long tradition with record nominations and awards this year - being nominated for four awards and bring home two coveted Craneys for Radio News Story for The Ambush of Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Wade Palmer - by Peter Christian.  The second Craney was for Radio Public Service for the Alt 101.5 Spin-a-thon by Angel Hughes and Christina Lefler.   This is the first time Lefler has won a Craney Award for her work with Townsquare Media Missoula.  The Craney for Radio News Story is a record 20th Craney win for Christian.

Other nominations were for Radio Public Service for KYSSMAS for Kids 2019 by the entire KYSS team - and Radio Station Promotion of the Year for the Blaze Easter Keg Hunt 2019 by Hughes and KC Kloppel. Congratulations to all!
