Project Safe Neighborhoods

U.S. Attorney for the State of Montana Kurt Alme was in Missoula on Wednesday to tout the success of Project Safe Neighborhoods for reducing the meth-related crime rate.

Surrounded by local, state and federal law enforcement officials, U.S. Attorney for Montana Kurt Alme delivered positive news to the media on Wednesday that crime rates are down in Missoula due to the Project Safe Neighborhoods program, instituted a year ago.

Crime numbers were surprisingly low this past week in Missoula.

Last Thursday, a gathering of law enforcement officials in Missoula laid out the goals and successes of a program called the ‘Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative’ to fight crime in Missoula County.

An impressive group of Montana’s senior law enforcement professionals gathered in the Montana U.S. Attorney’s office in Missoula on Thursday to promote the dramatic results of the ‘Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative’.
