The recent controversy over whether the Union Gospel Mission could relocate to a storefront on Broadway just blocks from the new Poverello Center has led to new zoning proposals from the City of Missoula.
The Missoula City Council voted nearly unanimously Monday night, September 9, to approve retroactive restrictive ordinances that would keep the Union Gospel Mission from relocating from Toole Avenue to a storefront on West Broadway.
There will be a public hearing Monday, September 9 in the Missoula City Council chambers to discuss the Union Gospel Mission's request to move from Toole Avenue to a storefront building on West Broadway.
Union Gospel Mission, formerly Missoula 3:16, has applied for permits from the city to move from their current location on Toole Avenue to a larger facility on West Broadway.
