Jail Diversion Program

The National Association of Counties and the National Sheriffs’ Association announced this week the formation of a joint task force to reduce jail inmate recidivism through continuity of health care services.

49 year-old Michael O’Keefe, who has had several run-ins with Missoula law enforcement over the last two weeks, is no longer in the Missoula County Jail.

Missoula County officials are seeking public comment on ways to reduce the overcrowded conditions at the jail during an open meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at the Double Tree Hotel.
