Gas prices continue to move up in Montana and across the United States.

The average price of gasoline throughout Montana is $3.42. Montana prices had been lagging the national average but have since caught up.

Gas prices in Montana have gone up about 6  cents per gallon in the past week, with an average of $3.33 cents per gallon.

Gas prices throughout Montana, have gone up 11.2 cents per gallon in the past week. Petroleum analyst Jason Towes says prices will continue to rise and provides a forecast.

The average gas price throughout Montana is $3.01 per gallon. Petroleum analyst Patrick Dehaan  says gas prices will continue to rise.   Denhaan says Billings has the lowest prices at $2.95 a gallon.

 Gas prices are averaging $3.00 a gallon throughout Montana. Petroleum Analyst Patrick Dehaan expects prices to increase even more. Dehaan says prices will range  from $2.95 to $3.15  throughout the state this month.

Oil prices have leveled off. Petroleum analyst Patrick Dehaan  says he expects gasoline prices to do the same.  The average gas price in Montana, currently is $2.97.

Gas prices may fall in January and February as much as ten cents per gallon due to lesser demand in those months. Peteroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says not to expect this trend to continue into the spring.
