Hundreds of Missoulians crowded into Ogren Park at Allegiance Field on Saturday morning to honor the late five-term Missoula Mayor John Engen.

Following the death of Missoula Mayor John Engen, the city has put into effect the mechanism wherein a new mayor will be chosen.

Missoula’s zoning regulations haven’t been significantly changed since the 1930s, so the city is in the midst of crafting and rewriting the zoning laws that help shape our community.

The City Of Missoula and a construction crew are replacing a water main on the south side of St. Patrick's Hospital, and Broadway will be reduced to two lanes until September. The construction zone extends from Scott St. west to May St, and crews will work mostly in the daytime, however the two lane access on Broadway will remain in place until the new water main is in place and crews have repaved

Mayor Engen emphasized the fact that inflation is ravaging cities and towns across the country and Missoula is no exception.

This Monday, June 13, City of Missoula road crews will begin the process of milling and repaving Higgins Avenue from Brooks Street to University Avenue.

Several years ago, Missoula City Officials planted a grove of poplar trees at the city’s wastewater treatment plant to help treat the water before it reentered the Clark Fork River.
