Former Ambassador Mark Johnson will address the Montana World Affairs Council this Thursday at the Holiday Inn Downtown, addressing current American foreign policy under President Donald Trump.

One man with over 30 years of experience serving the United States as an ambassador and a state department employee in the Middle East is Mark Johnson, founder of the Montana World Affairs Council.

The conflict between the nation of Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas has escalated into rocket attacks into Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, followed by Israeli air strikes into the West Bank.

Retired Ambassador Mark Johnson of the Montana World Affairs Council based in Missoula says two events in the past week have signaled a change in the overall picture in the Middle east, the Iranian elections, and the decision by the United States to become directly involved in the Syrian civil war.
