State Government Throws Its Weight Around

House bills 514 and 516 were a point of contention. House bill 514 would have added gay and lesbian to protected classes to discrimination laws, it failed. House bill 516 passed it would repeal the Missoula Anti-discrimination Ordinance. Minister Dick Weaver asked House members not to endorse the bill. 

 The bill must still be approved by the Senate and signed by the Governor before it carries the weight of law.
