Shoplifting Foot Cream Leads To Serious Drug Charges In Missoula
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 26, 2025, at around 10:07 p.m., a Missoula Police Department officer responded to a reported shoplifting at WinCo. The caller was a loss prevention employee. The officer responded to the scene and obtained a statement from the employee regarding the incident. The employee informed the officer that the female suspect was observed on video shopping in the store.
The female was observed collecting a foot cream from a shopping aisle and removing the cream from its packaging. The female then discarded the packaging and placed the cream in the pocket of her jacket. The employee stated the female then continued shopping and purchased multiple food items utilizing an EBT card. The female never purchased the foot cream.
The female then began to leave the store, passing all points of sale without purchasing the cream. The employee believed that, since the female had an EBT card, she did not pay for the cream, as it was not a food item. The employee also provided a video of the theft, which the officer believes shows the event as described by the employee.

The Officer Spoke to the Female Suspect
After observing the video, the officer began speaking to the female suspect who was in the loss prevention office. At this time, the female was identified as 22-year-old Kimberly Wickey. Before speaking with Wickey, the officer advised her of her Miranda warnings. Wickey ultimately waived her rights and agreed to speak with the officer regarding the incident.
She informed the officer that she had a medical condition on her foot and needed the cream to treat the condition. Wickey stated she did not have the funds to purchase the cream, thus attempted to take it without purchase. After speaking with Wickey, she was placed under arrest for theft and was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility.
When Wickey arrived at the jail, she was found to be in possession of a small zip-lock style baggie. Wickey had the baggie concealed in the glove she was wearing. The baggie contained a white-powdery crystal-like substance. Based on the officer’s training and professional experience, he believed the substance to be methamphetamine.
