Reactions were mixed at the Missoula County Fairgrounds Tuesday night as returns were announced for the Special School Election. The Missoula Elementary General fund was passing 56% to 43%, while the Elementary Reserve fund was passing 58% to 41%. For the high schools, the margins were much closer. The general fund levy was passing just 50% to 49%, while the building reserve was leading 52% to 47%. I spoke with District One Superintendent Alex Apostle for his reaction to the results...the interview is attached.

Levies for Clinton, Frenchtown, Potomac, Seeley Swan and Lolo were defeated, while Hellgate Elementary's levy was passing 51% to 49%.
