Our news partners at NBC Montana are reporting school closures and delays in northwest Montana, due to the extreme snow event that is expected to last through Tuesday morning.

MISSOULA, Mont. - The following schools and districts are closed for Monday, February 6:

Big Fork Elementary school is closed.

Big Fork High School is closed.

Swan River is closed.

Libby School District will be closed.

Marion School will be closed.

Olney-Bissell Elementary will be closed.

Whitefish School District will be closed.

Whitefish Christian School will be closed.

Kila School will be closed.

West Glacier School will be closed.

Stillwater Christian School will be closed.

Creston School will be closed.

Columbia Falls School District will be closed.

 

The following schools and districts will be delayed for Monday, February 6:

Thomson Falls Schools will have a two and a half hour delay. Only the buses on Highway 200 will be running.

Kalispell School District will have a two hour delay.

Cayuse Prairie School will have a two hour delay.

Fair-Mont-Egan School will have a two hour delay.

Smith Valley School will have a two hour delay.

Mission Valley Christian Academy will have a one hour and 45 minute delay.

Kalispell Montessori is on a two hour delay.

Woodland Montessori is on a two hour delay.

Pleasant Valley is on a two hour delay.

Flathead High School is on a two hour delay.

Glacier High School is on a two hour delay.

In addition, Evergreen, a suburb of Kalispell has received over 18 inches of snow, and snowplow drivers in the Flathead area are reportedly unable to keep up with the rapidly falling snow.
