Now that summer is a few days old, The National Weather Service is looking back at a record breaking spring. Lead Forecaster Bob Nester says it was the coldest since 1975, and in one respect stands alone in Missoula history shattering all records.

Nestor says the cold, wet winter and spring was the result of a La Nina weather pattern in the Northwest.
