Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On January 7, 2025, Tribal Investigators received confidential information that 39-year-old William Pablo was possibly in possession of dangerous drugs. Investigators knew that Pablo was on probation, had a history of drug possession, had been using methamphetamine, and frequented the Gray Wolf Peak Casino.

Investigators proceeded to the casino to locate Pablo, and in the process, contacted Probation and Parole to advise them of their investigation. Probation and Parole authorized a search of Pablo on their behalf if they made contact.

Once at the casino, investigators were unsuccessful in contacting Pablo. However, after exiting the casino, Investigators were on the lookout for Pablo’s vehicle. At approximately 10:58 PM, an Investigator observed a vehicle matching that description enter the casino parking lot, proceed to the entrance, drop two female passengers out, and then park in a parking space. The driver matched the description of Pablo.

Investigators Identify the Driver

Investigators pulled in behind the vehicle, approached the driver, and positively identified him as Pablo. Investigators told Pablo that Probation and Parole authorized a search of him and Pablo submitted to a search.

Tribal officers arrived on scene and assisted with the search of Pablo and his vehicle. Investigators discovered in the center console of Pablo’s vehicle an Altoids mint container, a pill crusher, a black zipper case containing a bottle of liquid, a syringe, and a hollow pen tube with white residue on the interior walls.

Inside the mint container, there were several small Ziploc-style baggies containing methamphetamine. These items were shown to Pablo and he commented that they were his. Investigators asked Pablo about the container and its contents, and Pablo admitted it was methamphetamine.

Clear Intent to Sell

Investigators emptied the container and discovered 21 small Ziploc baggies with methamphetamine, each with a number written in ink on the outside, each number appearing to be pricing, as the number written corresponded to the amount of substance within.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office was then contacted to conduct further investigation and Pablo was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility.
