Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On June 5, 2024, at around 12:15 PM, a Missoula Police Department Officer was advised that probation and parole needed law enforcement assistance at a casino in the 3000 block of Brooks St. Dispatch advised that probation and parole found fentanyl while conducting a probation search.

The officer arrived on the scene and met with Probation and Parole. They were conducting a probation search of 39-year-old Lindsey Tracy’s vehicle and her belongings. During the search, officers found a black purse in the back seat behind the driver’s side with Tracy’s wallet and ID card inside.

Inside the purse was a lemon-lime soda pop hollow container that contained multiple pieces of tinfoil, multiple burnt straws, a metal container containing 4 blue pills, and a small baggie with a crystal-like substance. In the officer’s training and experience, a small clear bag with a crystal-like substance is often methamphetamine and blue pills are often the color of fentanyl.

The officer met with Tracy who was in handcuffs and in the back of a patrol vehicle. The officer read Tracy her Miranda Rights and asked if she understood. Tracy said she understood and the officer asked her about the items that were found in the purse.

Tracy stated the purse was hers with her wallet inside, but denied knowing anything about the dangerous drugs or paraphernalia inside the soda container. Tracy said she was with her friends who possibly placed all that in her purse.

Tracy was placed under arrest and was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility. She is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. On June 6, 2024, Tracy made her initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and her bond was set at $10,000.

On December 11, 2023, Tracy was arrested for having over 90 fentanyl pills in the Missoula jail bathroom. She was charged with felony tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
