Open Burning Season In Missoula

General outdoor burning season is open  in Missoula from now until august 31^st. Air quality specialist, Sarah Coefield says you can get permits to burn vegetation and untreated wood but there are requirements.

 Burn permits are free and available at the Missoula County Fire Department. You  are required to call the outdoor burning hotline  on the day of the  burn at 258-4900.
