Private donors are funding a new scholarship system to help low-income Montana families have more choice on where they send their children to school. Donor, entrepreneur, and member of the Ace Scholarship Board of Advisers, Gregg Gianforte spoke with KGVO News about the importance of the Ace scholarships and the need for alternatives to traditional public education.

The Ace scholarship program will provide financial aid to families with a starting scholarship of $2,000 for students from K to 8th grade and $3,000 for high school students.  The scholarships are meant for families whose needs would be better met in a private school setting. Here is a promotional video found on the Ace Scholarship website.

So far, 35 schools across the state of Montana participating with the Ace Scholarships.
