MPD Arrest Woman for Having Meth Near Her Child
Just after 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Missoula police officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Christian and Alisha Drive. Officers executed a search warrant on the woman’s vehicle and her residence. According to court documents, a drug investigation indicated the woman was involved in drug distribution activity. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“The officers identified the driver as 36-year-old Kathryn Reddick,” Welsh said. “Reddick had outstanding warrants from Municipal Court and she was immediately taken into custody. Officers continued their investigation and they connected Reddick to an ongoing drug investigation. She was transported to the Missoula County Jail.”
Reddick told officers that her 10-year-old son was home alone. Officers searched the residence and found the child. They also discovered several glass pipes laying in open view. Residue in one of the pipes tested positive for methamphetamine. In addition, officers found several distribution sized zip lock baggies, a small amount of meth, and a digital scale. Reddick was charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
