More than 20 Vehicles Shot in Miller Creek, Target Range Areas
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of vehicle shootings that occurred on Thursday and Friday.
"We've had approximately 15 reports and about 25 vehicles that have been hit with pellet guns or BB guns of some sort," said Missoula County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett."Victims are reporting that the windows are broken out. They hit the side of the vehicle and obviously caused damage there. Its been, I think, frustrating for people, those are rough days up in the Target Range in the Miller Creek Area."
Deputies have a few leads but are asking the public for help.
"These vehicles were all parked on the street not on the driveway," Bassett said. "One of the victims who we just got done speaking to speaking to said they saw a white vehicle speed away. We have a few deputies out and about following a few leads, we just as the public that if they see anything suspicious or have any information that they call right away."
The eye witness of the white vehicle was not certain, but thought the car looked like a four door white vehicle, like a Ford Taurus. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers at 721-4444.
