Montana’s Top 10 Music Artists We Listened To The Most in 2023

After Spotify released its annual "Spotify Wrapped" earlier this week, I went on the hunt to discover which artists were listened to the most in Montana.

Unfortunately, I'm not bright enough to find information like that. Fortunately, people much smarter than I can sift through the digital information to figure it out.

It wasn't through Spotify. It was through Google Trends instead. A website called Casinos.com curated the information and looked at the most popular artists state-by-state in 2023. Here's how they did it:

Without further ado, here are the top 10 most popular music artists in Montana for 2023 with their Google Trend Score in parenthesis and the artist's most played song on Spotify.

#10 - Justin Bieber (90)

The Bieb was Arizona's top artist this year and Montana's 10th most popular artist. It's interesting because I didn't think he's released any music recently, but according to Spotify Bieber produced a couple of singles this year. The more you know!

#9 Travis Scott (90)

Just like Biebs, I'm not in tune with what Travis Scott is up to. Rap and hip-hop aren't my forte, but apparently, Montanans listen to Scott quite a bit.

#8 Lil Baby (90)

Biebs, Travis Scott and Lil Baby... who would've thought they all make Montana's top 10 popular artists? Montana's perception is so country-western that it's surprising to see all three make the top 10.

#7 Bruce Springsteen (90)

The Boss. Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen comes in #7 on the list. Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour beginning this March. The nearest location to see him will probably be the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on November 16, 2024.

#6 Taylor Swift (91)

There she is! The world's most-listened-to artist this year is #6 in the Treasure State. T-Swizzle was ranked #1 in 16 U.S. states.

#5 Harry Styles (92)

I'm starting to feel out of touch because I can honestly say I haven't listened to any of the artists ranked 10-5. Harry Styles used to be in One Direction... that's about all I know.

#4 Beyonce (93)

I don't care what anyone says. Beyonce makes bangers after bangers. Queen Bee released a few singles this year, which also flew under the radar to my not-so-perceptive brain.

Typically one of the biggest artists on Earth, Drake is the third-most listened-to artist in Montana. Here's another act that I haven't listened to since 2012.

#2 Luke Combs (95)

Luke Combs is much more Montana than Travis Scott, Justin Bieber and Beyonce. He feels like he embodies the rural Montanan population. As does #1...

#1 Morgan Wallen (97)

Every girl aged between 18-28 years old's favorite country music artist is the most popular music artist in Montana. He was #5 in the country but #1 in our hearts.
