The Idaho State Police say a Montana truck driver is injured after his semi was hit by a freight train at a rail crossing in northern Idaho.

The train did not derail and the truck remained upright in the accident that occurred shortly before noon Wednesday.

Police say 45-year-old driver Ronald D. Miller of Superior, Mont., stopped at a stop sign and proceeded across the tracks at Moyie Springs without seeing the train.

The train hit the cab of the truck and pushed the vehicle off the tracks.

Police say Miller was hospitalized but there was no word on his condition.

No other injuries were reported.
