BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Montana State athletic director Peter Fields says interim golf coach Brittany Basye has again been named the head coach of the MSU women's team.

Basye returned to MSU as interim coach in August 2011 after serving as assistant coach for the 1999-2000 season and then head coach from 2000-07.

Fields says after a search, school officials felt Basye continued to show she was a great fit for the program and the university.

MSU closed the 2011-12 golf season with a seventh-place finish at the Big Sky Conference tournament.
