The Montana hunting seasons have been proposed for the 2020-21 season and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks have scheduled public meetings around the state in January. The meetings include a meeting January 7 at 7 p.m. at Missoula's Doubletree Hotel on Madison and a January 9 meeting in Hamilton at 6 p.m. at the Bitterroot River Inn. Region 2 meetings will also be in Lincoln, Drummond, Superior, Philipsburg, Ovando, Anaconda and Deer Lodge. Usually a meeting is scheduled in Darby, but FWP has consolidated that into the Hamilton meeting.

Regon 2 Wildlife Manager Mike Thompson said that season changes this year include early and late elk "shoulder season" adjustments. The proposals, approved by the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission December 5th, are available at their on-line website and public comments can be submitted there or at the meetings. Public comments are due by January 22.
