So many events are officially making their post-pandemic return in Missoula this year - the Garden City Brewfest is back in Caras Park this weekend (and the Montana Brewers Fall Rendezvous will be back in, you guessed it, the fall); the International Wildlife Film Festival was able to get back in action at the Roxy Theater recently; Arts Missoula is bringing back their annual awards ceremony; and now, we've got word on another beloved Missoula event set to make its comeback: The Montana Book Festival!

When Will the Montana Book Festival Return?

The Montana Book Festival is set to take place from September 15-18, with all kinds of different events happening in downtown Missoula.

If you've never been to the Montana Book Festival, it's essentially an event that works to bring together the literary community of Montana and celebrate diversity in the arts throughout the state.

Submissions Are Now Open!

If you're a Montana author who has a book coming out this year, you may want to check this out: the Missoulian reports that submissions are now open to get your book featured in the Montana Book Festival. Priority consideration is given to authors who have books coming out in 2022, although all are welcome to apply.

Once the books and authors are chosen, those selected will be invited to participate in this year's events. Once that happens, we'll have a better sense of what events will be taking place at the book festival this year and where they'll be - although we do know that the Montana Book Festival plans to utilize the new Missoula Public Library building.

For more information, you can check out the Montana Book Festival's website.
