Our friends at The Good Food Store in Missoula and a produce company will team up to make a special contribution to Missoula Food Bank.

The Good Food Store and Charlie's Produce will participate again this year in the Take a Bite Out of Hunger Program, sponsored by FirstFruits Marketing of Washington, when they donate 2,908 pounds of fresh apples. The Missoula Food Bank will be the recipient of the bounty on Friday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m.

Part of the release from the Good Food Store stated, "We are proud to be joining FirstFruits and Charlie's Produce to help take a bite out of hunger. It's nice to know these apples will be healthy snacks for folks not just here in Missoula, but also for those visiting food banks around our state."

Over 1.8 million pounds of fresh apples have been donated to local food banks since this program's inception in 2010. Big hugs to the Good Food Store for being so involved!
