Missoula Woman Stabbed – Estranged Husband Arrested [AUDIO]

A 34 year-old Missoula woman is in the hospital this morning in stable condition after allegedly being stabbed multiple times by her estranged husband.

Missoula County Sheriff's department spokesman Jason Johnson says deputies arrested 45 year-old Emmitt Hogsten on charges of attempted deliberate homicide, assault with a weapon, and partner of family member assault.

KECI-TV reports that deputies impounded the truck where the stabbing occurred. Johnson says a 5 to 6 inch fixed blade knife was visible through the window on the floor of the truck.

Hogsten will appear in Missoula Justice Court this afternoon to face charges.
