A Missoula man is in jail after police say he head-butted a mom and assaulted a minor after an argument erupted Tuesday evening over who should go to the store to get baby formula. Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says the incident occurred at 6:30 P.M. in the 3000 block of Tina Avenue.

"She said that her domestic partner, who actually does not live with her, was at her residence and they had begun arguing that ultimately resulted in the male suspect head-butting the victim across the bridge of the nose, which caused pain and a bloody nose," Welsh said.

The attack that led to the bloody nose later resulted in a misdemeanor Partner or Family Member Assault Charge for 33-year old Ryan Glessner, but things didn’t end there.

"He returned about two hours later and the argument began again," Welsh said. "At one point, the second time, the suspect grabbed an 11-year-old child that was in the home and who was actually holding a two-month-old infant and physically put her on a couch and held her there. To quote from the report, 'he actually pinned her to the couch, while she was holding the infant.'"

The attack on the 11-year-old resulted in a felony charge for Glessner for Assaulting a Minor.
