Missoula Driver Pulled Over Going Wrong Way on Brooks, At Least 4th DUI
Missoula police arrested a driver early Friday morning after witnessing a vehicle swerving erratically on Brooks Street not far from Sentinel High School.
"Just before 12:30 a.m., officers encountered a vehicle traveling into oncoming traffic near the intersection of Brooks Street and South Avenue, when the officers initiated they discovered that the driver, who is identified as Franklin Eastman, appeared to be intoxicated," said Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh
The original police report first refers to the suspect as a female who told officers the name "Frankie Ginger Eastman," and appears in the booking photo to be wearing a dress, however, the driver's license identified the driver as a 48-year-old male by the name of Franklin Corbin Eastman. Eastman has been arrested for DUI many times before.
"He was subsequently arrested for his fourth or subsequent DUI, it also was revealed that he had a suspended or revoked drivers license and he was held on that charge as well," Welsh said.
Because Eastman has had at least four arrests and three convictions of Driving Under the Influence, Montana law will treat this and all further DUI cases as felonies.
