Police, Family Search for Missing Wyoming Woman
CASPER, Wyo. -- Casper police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman who was reported missing on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, Police Capt. Steve Freel said Friday.
The last contact with Kristi Richardson was at 7:45 p.m. Monday with a member of her company, according to court records.
After she was reported missing, police searched her house on Tuesday, according to an affidavit filed Thursday in Natrona County Circuit Court.
On Wednesday, they searched her office at the trucking company in the nearby town of Mills that she and her late husband started in the 1970s.
Police spoke with friends family and neighbors, but they didn’t have any idea of the whereabouts of Richardson, 61, according to the affidavit.
She is described as 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs less than 100 pounds.
"We are loooking at this from both sides," Freel said.
...we're looking at this as an investigation that could potentially turn into a criminal investigation.
"We are looking at it from the potential of a person that walked away from a house and has yet to be found because maybe they they don't want to be found.
"But the flip side of it is that we're looking at this as an investigation that could potentially turn into a criminal investigation," Freel said. "We would hate to think that it would end up in a bad manner but it could up where at the end of this we have a body."
The family is distraught and wants help, he said.
"Their focus is to get her home," Freel said.
