Tonbridge Power says it's filed condemnation complaints against 11 landowners along a proposed power line route in northwestern Montana.

The utility filed the complaints after efforts to mediate a solution broke down.

Landowners in the path of the proposed line have filed a lawsuit against the state and Tonbridge. The suit targets an eminent domain law that went into effect in May.

The 11 plaintiffs in Pondera and Teton counties contend the law is unconstitutional and will harm farming operations.
