Man With Multiple DUIs Accused of Crashing Into Missoula Ditch
On Friday, March 2, a vehicle was spotted off the road in a ditch in Missoula.
"A Missoula Police officer responded to the report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 2800 block of South Third Street West," said Police spokesman Travis Welsh. "The officer responded and made contact with an off duty deputy who had come across the vehicle and reported it. The officer identified the driver as 42-year-old Thomas Baeta."
Mr. Baeta was apparently unable to control his vehicle and drove it right off the road.
"He was subsequently arrested for DUI," Welsh said. "The officer later learned that he had at least three prior convictions, making this a felony."
On top of the Felony DUI charge, Mr. Baeta is also facing a careless driving charge.
