A 36-year-old Lolo woman has pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of her young sons for leaving the boys home alone in the middle of the night. She told the judge she left to get seizure medicine for her boyfriend.

Missoula County sheriff's deputies were called to the home of Alecia Dawn Jones at 4 a.m. Monday after Jones' 6-year-old son told neighbors he was scared because he couldn't find his mother. The boy's 3-year-old brother was asleep.

Court records say Jones and her boyfriend arrived at 4:40 a.m. He said they had been out drinking. Jones said they went to a Missoula pharmacy. Court records say the pharmacy she named had been closed since 10 p.m.

Justice of the Peace John Odlin scheduled sentencing for Aug. 11.
