Rush Limbaugh has done some stupid things recently, but who would have thought the outrage directed at him for his Sandra Fluke comments would hurt commentators on the left? Take Bill Mahar as a case in point. The following video was distributed to help point out what can only be labled as hypocricy.

Last thursday, the Alabama Democrats deleted a Mahar fundraiser. Earlier this week, Obama's Campaign strategist David Axelrod backed out of appearing on Mahar's HBO show. But not everyone is responding to the increasing flame war as fervently. In the following video you can watch two female democratic legislators refuse to denounce Bill Mahar's statements. Apparently calling a woman a c*#t isn't mysogynistic as long as that woman also happens to be a conservative.

Mahar is just one of many leftist commentators who are under attack, but he is by far the biggest media figure. But "biggest" doesn't mean a whole lot: there really is no political commentator on the left that is nearly as big as Rush Limbaugh. This blowback session may be interesting to many, but we are unlikely to see a political change of heart. The left will continue to refuse Rush's apology while simultaneously refusing to demand an apology out of Mahar. Why? Because most of Rush's attackers weren't upset at him for mysogyny, they were upset at his politics.
