Lightning Strikes Football Field, Coach Knocked Down
Lightning struck on the practice football field at C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls, knocking a coach down.
Assistant Superintendent Tom Moore tells the Great Falls Tribune that assistant coach Brian Greenwell was pushing a cart full of equipment on the field Friday morning when the lightning struck. Moore said no one is sure if the lightning hit the cart or Greenwell, but he was not seriously injured.
Moore said coaches and administrators encouraged Greenwell to consult a doctor. Tryouts that had been scheduled for Friday morning were moved to the afternoon.
