A Lake county man, 22 year-old Lawrence Mays, was arrested and charged Wednesday with two counts of sexual abuse of children.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Shaun Donovan says Mays allegedly coerced a juvenile girl into sending him revealing cell-phone photos of herself, and then sending sexually explicit photos to her in return.

Donovan says the girl's mother discovered the activity and contacted police. Missoula police detective Chris Shermer then contacted Mays pretending to be a 13 year-old girl, and began corresponding with him, exchanging messages and photos. Mays allegedly asked for sex and sent sexually explicit photos to Detective Shermer.

A $75,000 arrest warrant was issued for Mays' arrest, and he was apprehended and charged on Wednesday. Mays posted $25,000 bail and will make another court appearance on October 17th.

Charging documents are attached.
