A great fireworks display is expected Thursday night, July 4th, at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton. The fundraising was successful, according to Hamilton Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf. The city and Ravalli County combined funds to establish an account in the budget that will continue from year to year. Farrenkopf said this year's show is paid for and there's already thousands in the account for next year. The free community show will start at dusk Thursday, which is occurring around 10 p.m. Fireworks specialist Steve Boshea has a special Grand Finale planned.

With the recent improvements on Fairgrounds Road, no parking is allowed along that route. However, parking is available on the fairgrounds property, especially at the north parking lot, according to fairgrounds manager Melissa Saville. She said food trucks will be available near the main entrance.
