Jim Bowman to Head Missoula Economic Partnership

What began in the mind of Mayor Jon Engen after the closure of the Smurfit-Stone container mill as ‘The Best Place Project’ then became ‘The Missoula Economic Partnership’. That organization, after a nationwide search now has a new president…he is Jim Bowman from Moline, Illinois. I spoke with Jeff Fee CEO of Missoula’s St. Patrick Hospital and the MEP chairman about the hiring of Bowman, which was officially announced today. That interview is attached.

Mr. Bowman says he’s ready to start his duties in promoting Missoula’s business community as soon as June 1^st.
