Each year, visitors from all over the world travel to Montana to see Yellowstone National Park. There are five entrances to YNP, and two of them are in Montana. The north entrance is in Gardiner, Montana and the west Entrance is in West Yellowstone, Montana. Your best option is entering through the north entrance in Gardiner. If you enter through West Yellowstone, prepare to be let down.

For many years, the area was known for large populations of elk, bison, and other forms of wildlife. However, animal populations have dwindled in recent years. In addition, most of the businesses near the west entrance are gift shops that sell cheaply made items.
Entering Yellowstone National Park through the north entrance in Gardiner is a much more pleasurable experience. It's often far less crowded, and the you also get to travel through the Paradise Valley, which is one of the most scenic drives in Montana.
