USPS Announces 2024 Holiday Postal Deadlines For Montana

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has a busy few months ahead. Not only did Amazon just have their Prime Days, but the country is in the middle of an election. Who hasn't gotten mailers from candidates this year? They also are looking ahead to the holiday shipping season.

As Christmas decorations are already appearing in stores, the holiday shopping season for some has already begun. The USPS is aware of that and have released the holiday mailing deadlines for 2024. If you want to make sure your packages get to who needs them by Christmas you should pay attention to the following dates.

For the lower 48 states, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.

• December 18th USPS Ground Advantage Service
• December 18th First Class mail including greeting cards
• December 18th Priority Mail
• December 21st Priority Mail Express Service

For those who want to get packages to Alaska and Hawaii here are the dates.

• December 16th USPS Ground Advantage Service
• December 18th First Class mail including greeting cards
• December 19th Priority Mail
• December 20th Priority Mail Express Service

If you want those military care packages to get there by Christmas here are the dates.

• November 4th USPS Ground Advantage Service
• December 9th First Class mail including greeting cards
• December 9th Priority Mail
• December 16th Priority Mail Express Service

For international packages they have different holiday deadlines which are here, but you will find most of them will need to be in the mail by early December. As a reminder you can see below for a list of things can't legally mail in Montana.
