A New Trader Joe’s Will Open Close To Missoula, Could a Montana Location Be Next?

Missoula, the store we've all been waiting for is one step closer to arriving in our fair city (maybe).

Some of the best myths and legends in Missoula surround the possible arrival date of coveted businesses. When I was growing up here it was "Missoula is getting an Olive Garden!" but that has yet to materialize. After I moved back it was "Missoula is getting a Trader Joe's!" but that one might still have a chance.

While Missoula isn't getting a Trader Joe's right now, there is one coming to a neighboring state in a city that's only a few hours away.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is Getting a Trader Joe's

There isn't an opening date posted on the Trader Joe's website, but it does say a store will be coming to Coeur d'Alene at 303 E Spokane Avenue.

Plop that address into Google Maps and this is what it gives you (but I haven't been to CDA in a while so I'm trusting Google that this is where it's going):

Look at all that parking.

Reviewing Trader Joe's locations, it seems plausible that they'll add Montana stores someday, if only because they have locations in almost all 50 states. And proximity doesn't seem to be a deterrent--there are two locations in Spokane and they're opening one in Coeur d'Alene, so why not Missoula?
