Hundreds Show Up at University of Montana for Hidden Survivor Idol
For fans of the television show Survivor, there was some excitement on the University of Montana campus yesterday. The show is giving fans across the country a chance to enter for a trip to L.A. for the 50th season finale.
The show is “hiding” an immunity idol in every state. For Montana, they chose Missoula as their location to hide the idol (take that, Bozeman and Billings). The clues to the idol's location dropped on Tuesday, and they were easy to figure out. I know this because hundreds of people showed up to “find” the idol.

The Survivor crew did a great job putting this event together with the help of the University of Montana. There was music, fire pits, games, and a telescope set up to look at the sun (safely). They had all of these activities set up since it took a while for people to move through the event.
How the Season 50 Idol Contest Works
To enter the contest, you had to have your picture taken with the idol to prove you were there. With hundreds of people showing up for the event, it took a long time to get through the process. The idol was located inside the planetarium at the Payne Family Native American Center.

The day couldn’t have been better for the event. The sun was out, and it was pushing 50 degrees. It would have been entirely different had it been a typical mid-February day.

Good luck to everyone who took the time to enter the contest; it would be very cool if someone from Montana gets a chance to go to L.A. for the show's finale.
