Warning: Here Are Montana’s 2 Most Dangerous Roads for RVs
Pretty soon Montana's roads are going to be a bit more crowded with RVs (recreational vehicles) as our tourist season gets under way. Traveling by road in Montana is already a test of patience with the weather, road conditions, and other drivers. When you add RVs into the mix it isn't always easy to get around.
For those that aren't familiar with our state, there are some places where it just isn't a good idea to take an RV. In fact, there are some places where it's not just an inconvenience to others it is downright dangerous to be hauling an RV on some of our roads.

Cheapism.com took a look at some of the most dangerous roads for RV use and Montana has two roads that made the list. RVs aren't specifically banned on these roads, but if you are planning on taking one you may want to reconsider your route.
Two Montana Roads Where RVs Are Dangerous
The Going-To-the-Sun road in Glacier National Park is a road where it isn't recommended to have an RV with you. The road is windy, steep, and can be very narrow at times. The road is also crowded because there is only a short window of when it is open during the year. Currently the road hasn't opened for the season.
Another Montana road that made the list where RVs aren't recommended is Montana 2 between Butte and Three Forks. The warning for RV users is the speed of other drivers on this road. Also, the road is pretty isolated, so breaking down on that road isn't ideal.

If you have out of state RV friends who are planning on visiting this summer, maybe suggest they avoid these two roads on their adventures. In the meantime remember that we are going to be sharing the road with all kinds of different vehicles this coming tourist season.
