The latest season of The Voice has debuted on NBC and the streaming service Peacock this week. The coaches for the season are Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg. A Montana musician has auditioned for this season's singing competition.

Montana musician Joe Martinez has given it a shot to be featured on the show. You may recognize Joe from performing around Western Montana. He released his latest EP back in April, titled "Montana" featuring five songs including the title track and is available on all streaming platforms.

Joe got some help from local Missoula blues musician, Andre Floyd, over the past winter getting ready to audition for the program, according to a Facebook post by Andre. Andre Floyd, an amazing performer himself, has been a staple on the music scene in Western Montana for decades. I have been lucky enough to catch him play many times and it is always a great show.

Like most reality shows, they don't let the contestants know too much about when they will be appearing and the contestants can't divulge too much information about their auditions, but Joe was able to post a little bit about his journey on his Instagram account.

If you want to support Joe, he is continuing to play gigs around Western Montana. He has a full list of dates scheduled this fall here are few.

  • October 5th The Rustic Hut in Florence
  • October 18th The Sunrise Saloon in Missoula
  • October 19th Buffalo Saloon Casino Lodge in Bigfork

We are wishing Joe the best of luck and much success on his musical journey.
