Montana Griz Star Solo Tuliaupupu Embraces Ninth Season

USA Today Sports published an article this morning covering Montana Grizzly linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu. Solo is set to enter his 9th season of college football.

Yes, you read that correctly: nine times.

I highly recommend giving the article a full read, but the gist of it is that people were upset about Solo receiving a ninth year of eligibility and Solo pushing back against the naysayers and negativity.

You know what I have to say to all the people getting up in Solo's business? Who cares? Yeah, we all know college sports are sideways at the moment, but Solo SHOULD be taking advantage of all of the years given to him.

Imagine if you were given bonus years doing whatever your favorite activity is. You would capitalize on them to keep your favorite thing going.

For me, it's play-by-play broadcasting. There will come a time when I lose my fastball. I'll be old, I'll be lagging, and if you could tell me that I could get a new lease on life to get extra years doing play-by-play, I'd say, "Where do I sign and what am I signing away?"
