Former Grizzly Football Star to Enter Transfer Portal… Again

The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh. In today's college football, the transfer portal is as ubiquitous as high school recruiting. Whether you like it or hate it, a lot seem to hate the changes to college football, it's here to stay and is woven into the fabric of college football. Unfortunately, the transfer portal snatched up one of the Griz. Before we get to the latest heartbreaking departure, here's a full list of players expected to be graduating or departing the University of Montana Football Team after this year.

• Iverson Young (Fr. RB Waxahachie, TX)

• Travis Benham (R-Sr. P Pacifica, CA)

• Braxton Hill (Sr. LB Anaconda, MT)

• Levi Janacaro (R-Sr. LB Missoula, MT)

• Tyler Flink (R-Sr. LB Missoula, MT)

• Chris Walker (R-Sr. OT Lincoln, NE)

• AJ Forbes (R-Sr. C Bellevue, NE)

• Hunter Mayginnes (R-Sr. OL Chandler, AZ)

• Nico Ramos (R-Sr. K Miami, FL)

• Alex Gubner (R-Sr. West Hills, CA)

This will be the fourth time McDowell is transferring in his career. He began his career at the University of Louisiana (formerly Louisiana-Lafayette), then transferred to Kilgore College in Texas, then Central Arkansas and finally Montana. In McDowell's one season at Montana, McDowell racked up 21 touchdowns, passed for over 2000 yards, ran for another 753 and led the Griz to a 10-1 record in games he started.
